At the back end of 2008 we bought "Atlantic Quest" from Dom Mee and on the 15th of July 2009, at St. Katherine's Dock in London, she was officially re-named "QBE Insurance Challenge" after our Head Sponsor: QBE Insurance.

Then...

We saw her up for sale on The Ocean Rowing Society website and were very impressed by her racing history: Purpose built in 2005 for a four man crossing of the Atlantic she flew across in just 37 days; a year later she won the 2006 Great River Race; and following that she went on to set a new record for the fastest circumnavigation of Great Britain. Given her pedigree we just hope we can do her and our sponsors proud in the 2009 Atlantic race.

And now...

This photo was taken just before our Norwich fundraiser in early June 2009, a matter of mere hours after the first of our sponsors' logos had been applied, and we couldn't be happier with how she looks now. It's funny but the purely cosmetic changes brought about by a re-spray and the application of the logos really make her feel like our boat now and something we feel incredibly proud and protective of. Here's hoping we don't dink her!!!!
